The Family Practice Physician Assistant position is responsible for fulfilling a vital role in the community providing comprehensive health care to all ages emphasizing preventative health practices and disease management, diagnosing and treating illness; providing routine examinations, referring to specialty services and performing follow-up. This position possesses the requisite skills and abilities to work quickly and efficiently in a stressful environment while addressing patient concerns; acting as a patient advocate explaining procedures and relaying expectations while gathering pertinent information to determine appropriate care. Concurrently, this position ensures quality care and patient safety by thoroughly documenting the patient visit in a manner consistent with current standards of care. The Family Practice Physician Assistant is expected to keep abreast of new developments in their field. This position also acts in a leadership role providing medical direction to nursing and clinic staff members. This position recognizes their role in the patient care cycle and participates as a member of the interdisciplinary team; supervising care given by RNs, LPNs, MAs, and non-licensed personnel. This position will work with the interdisciplinary team to obtain the goal of meeting the patient’s physical and emotional needs while incorporating their spiritual beliefs in a dignified manner. The Family Practice Physician Assistant supports the organization by being an active member of the medical team and carries out these duties in a manner consistent with the Mission and Vision of Coulee Medical Center. Qualifications: PA-C with primary care experience preferred; Current license to practice medicine issued by the state of Washington; Certifications as outlined in the Medical Staff By-laws. Graduate of an accredited PA program.

Salary Range:
The wage scale for this position has been finalized for the facility including 26 steps and the selected candidate will be placed on the wage scale depending on years of experience.
